Katie joined Centre for Mental Health as a Researcher in October 2023. Her main research interests include experiences of solitude and loneliness, issues of inclusion and exclusion, and female health empowerment. Having witnessed some of her closest family and friends experience poor mental health and finding difficulty in receiving professional support, she hopes that her work will contribute to making good mental health care available and accessible to all.

Prior to joining the Centre, Katie worked in consumer research and volunteered with Free Cakes for Kids to provide homemade birthday cakes and food boxes to local young families. She holds an MSc in Behavioural Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BSc in Psychology from Durham University.
