Researcher
Alex Round has been our Research Manager and Economist since July 2025. He is a research and health economic professional, previously working in analytical roles in healthcare innovation within the formerly Academic Health Science Network, now Health Innovation Network for over 5 years. He has a particular interest in supporting commissioning decisions from a mixed perspective inclusive of economic value, to support the mental healthcare system, taking both a rigorous and prudent approach.
Alex was awarded a first-class honour degree in Economics and International Business at Keele University in 2018 and since has worked in partnership with organisations, including UCL, ONS and IPSOS on projects delivered to key commissioners in the space (NIHR, NHSE, ICBs, LAs) at local and national levels, generating key insights to influencing the system.
He is eager to explore new spaces across the mental healthcare space, build working relations and be emersed into projects by seeing mental health services in action first hand
