Webinar
Date: Wednesday 22nd October 2025
Time: 14:00-15:00
Delivered: Virtually via MS Teams (joining details will be sent once registered)
We are delighted to invite you to our next webinar taking place on Wednesday 22nd October from 2pm.
During this webinar, Councils will share their existing work aligning to the development of our new Mentally Healthier Councils Network Framework which aims to embed mental health as a core priority in all council strategies, policies, and operations — creating a mentally healthier environment for both residents and the workforce.
Developed by Centre for Mental Health, the framework draws on feedback from a 2024 survey of network members. It reflects the priorities and practical needs identified by local authorities, setting out the most relevant criteria to guide councils in becoming a ‘Mentally Healthier Council’.
What we will cover
- We will provide an overview of the framework and be joined by Worcestershire County Council and Leeds City Council who will share their experiences of working with the framework. They will offer reflections and practical examples of initiatives that are improving mental health within their communities, and the outcomes achieved.
- They will demonstrate how the framework has been implemented in practice – showing how policies have been translated into action – and will explore the key factors for success in making these changes a reality.
- In addition, we will present key findings and local insights from The Big Mental Health Report (produced in partnership with Mind), providing further evidence and recommendations to support councils in this work.
This webinar offers the opportunity to learn from peers, shape the ongoing development of the framework, and take away practical guidance to support your council in championing mental health at every level.
You can register for the event below. Please also circulate this invitation to your networks and colleagues who work in your council and who may find this event and being part of the Network useful.
