Ed has written policy and campaigned for improvements with health charities, including Mental Health Foundation, the British Medical Association and the Royal College of Pathologists, since 2008.

Among other positions Ed is currently a member of the Mental Health Policy Group, the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities Prevention Concordat Working Group, the South London Prevention Taskforce and the Local Government Association Children and Young People’s Board.

He has studied social determinants of health with Michael Marmot at University College London and graduated from King’s College London with a master’s in public health and a principal’s global leadership award in 2020.

Ed is passionate about reducing health inequalities by addressing social and environmental determinants including poverty, discrimination and poor spatial planning.
