The Independent Review of the Mental Health Act  is in its initial scoping phase, seeking to identify priorities for further work later this year.

We are holding workshops to inform this process. The aim is to bring together interested parties of all types (e.g. service users, carers, professionals) to share their views on how the Act and associated practice might be improved.

We are pleased to announce a workshop in Cardiff, in addition to our workshops in London and Newcastle (which are now fully booked).

To book your place at the workshop please click here.

This is just one of a number of ways we are gathering perspectives on the Act in this initial phase, and there will be further opportunities to engage as the review runs its course. In particular, we are currently encouraging anyone who has been sectioned/detained under the Act, or cared for someone who has been, to participate in a survey.

If the workshop has sold out and you would like to go on the waiting list for tickets please email [email protected].

Booking for this event has now closed.
