Chaired by Sean Duggan, Chief Executive of the Centre for Mental Health, this conference focuses on measuring and monitoring quality in mental health including preparing for and learning from the new Care Quality Commission inspections in mental health.

The conference is particularly timely following the announcement of national access and waiting times for mental health. It is essential that the data and quality monitoring information is available at local level to enable organisations to deliver the parity of esteem that has been set down by government.

The conference will start with a focus on developing a shared understanding of quality in partnership with service users and the role service users can play in monitoring quality. The conference will continue to look at the CQC domains of quality services, learning from the CQC inspections to date and understanding how to demonstrate effectiveness in mental health services. The conference will include a national update on quality indicators from the Health and Social Care Information Centre and will demonstrate how you can use quality dashboards at a local level to measure and monitor quality within your service.
