Professor Bob Grove has announced that he will be retiring from the role of Centre for Mental Health joint chief executive in June 2011.
Bob Grove joined Centre for Mental Health in 2003 and became joint chief executive, with Sean Duggan, in 2009. Sean Duggan will become chief executive of the Centre from July 2011.
Bob Grove said: "Working at Centre for Mental Health is a great privilege. I continue to be inspired by the people we work with and the challenges we face to improve the life chances of people with mental health problems. I will retire from the role of joint chief executive in June 2011 but will continue to work with my colleagues at the Centre and elsewhere to help to make a difference to people's lives."
Centre for Mental Health chairman Dr Elizabeth Vallance said: "On behalf of the trustees, I would like to thank Bob for his leadership of our employment programme since 2003 and of the Centre as a whole from 2009. Bob and Sean have together steered the Centre through a major transformation and they continue to strengthen its work programme and impact.
"I am confident that under Sean's leadership, supported ably by a team of dedicated and capable staff and associates, the Centre will carry on testing the boundaries of what can be achieved in the years to come."
