Mental Health and Social Inclusion has a unique focus on social inclusion issues faced by people who use mental health services. It looks at how people can enjoy full and satisfying lives in their local communities - finding jobs, learning new skills, volunteering, taking up exercise, getting involved in sports or participating in arts and cultural activities. Other areas include housing, finance, spirituality, relationships, self-help, peer support and recovery.
Many contributors are themselves users of (or former users of) mental health services and write from personal experience of the projects they describe.
