Centre for Mental Health is seeking a new Chair and Trustees. We are a national charity working to improve life chances for people with mental health problems. Formerly known as Sainsbury Centre, we have a 25-year record of ground-breaking research, development and analysis with the support of our founder the Gatsby Charitable Foundation.
As a new Trustee, you will guide our dedicated staff team to sustain and build our work in the future through new sources of funding. We are seeking Trustees who are passionate about mental health and who can bring their knowledge and skills to our board. You may have personal experience of mental ill health and you may have knowledge of charity governance, of fundraising, or of business and finance.
A new Chair is expected to have a track record in mental health and the ability to lead a national charity, working closely with our executive team and other board members.
We positively seek applications from all sections of society. Trustees are not remunerated but necessary expenses for attending meetings will be refunded.
Applications for Chair should be submitted by 13 September 2010 and for Trustees by 27 September. Interviews for Chair will take place on 22 September and for Trustees on 6-7 October.
